the DOWNTOWN MIAMI-BOUND New Orleans Saints
With the New Orleans Saints arriving at Downtown Miami’s Intercontinental Hotel this evening, where they will be staying through the Super Bowl, the iconic Miami Tower is “rolling out the welcome mat” in style. Tonight at nightfall, the landmark office building – one of the most recognizable buildings in Miami’s skyline—will light up the sky in gold in recognition of the Saints’ stay in Downtown. The building will light up each night, beginning Monday, Feb 1st through Wednesday Fed 3rd.
MIAMI, FL — February 1, 2010 – Downtown Miami is rolling out the welcome mat for the New Orleans Saints. On the news that the NFC Champions will be lodging at Downtown Miami’s Intercontinental Hotel during Super Bowl week, the iconic I.M. Pei-designed Miami Tower office building will be illuminated in a sea of gold lights. The Miami Tower will be lit in Saints colors February 1, 2 and 3 to mark the team’s Downtown Miami arrival, according to the Miami Downtown Development Authority.
