Born in Harlem Hospital, raised in sunny South Florida, Lyricly Insane (or LI as most call him) has always been surrounded by music. Being an 80's baby, the 90's era of Hip Hop has tremendously influenced his style. Artists such as Redman, Eminem, The Pharcyde, Mos Def, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common, Nas, Pharoah Monch, Jay Z, etc etc...are still in constant rotation in both his CD changer and his iPod. The one track however, that truly sparked LI's passion for the mic was Redman's 'Can't Wait' off of his Dare Iz A Darkside album. Since that day, he began listening to Redman tracks over and over again. Once he had the verses memorized, he would then jump into cyphers and battles around school spitting Redman's verses as if they were his own. Of course, when several of his classmates started to catch on, that came to an abrupt end. Still influenced by the MC's he looked up to, he finally found his own style and spent every possible moment sharpening his craft. After years of talent shows, cyphers, and battles, his search for a global audience began. Although Hip Hop and music as a whole has continued to change around him, he has remained deep rooted as a true MC. However, LI's taste in music has broadened quite a bit. In his current playlists you'll find artists such as Linkin Park, 3OH!3, Gym Class Heroes, Jason Miraz, etc. All in all, his love for Hip Hop is...and forever will be. That passion, is what he wishes to share with you. Sit back and enjoy the good vibes and good music!

* Admission is just $7 / Must be 21 or older to attend

Details: This show will raise money for The Susan Komen Foundation For The Cure Miami/Ft Laudredale Affiliate for breast cancer research. The show includes concert performances by The Coffee House Gypsies and The Bailouts, plus live painting by Cuban artist, Celia Crespo. All you can eat BBQ rib dinners will be served for just $10.99.

An estimated 40,480 women are usually expected to die from breast cancer. It was also estimated that 1,990 men get diagnosed and 450 men die of breast cancer.
